The bus garage was opened on the 18th June 1928. It is now run by National Express West Midlands. It is home to the world famous no 11 Outer Circle bus route (11A and 11C).

Acocks Green Bus Garage - details
The bus garage was built and opened in 1928, on the Fox Hollies Road, and opposite of Westley Road.
It is the home of Birmingham's famous Outer Circle, the 11A (anti-clockwise) and 11C (clockwise) (although the route has been split since 2021 at Acocks Green, Erdington and Perry Barr, where you have to change buses).

Other bus routes from Acocks Green Bus Garage include the 1 (between Acocks Green and Five Ways) and the 5 (between Birmingham and Solihull via Sarehole Mill and Widney Manor).

The no 4 and 4A bus routes are also based at Acocks Green Bus Garage (was formerly the 37 and 31 bus routes). The 4 goes between Birmingham and Solihull via Tyseley, Acocks Green and Olton.

There has been several open days at the bus garage over the years including one in October 2013 (on the occasion of it's 85 birthday, but was a joint open day with Yardley Wood Bus Garage) and in June 2018 (on it's 90th birthday).
