In brief
Originally built as a Methodist Church in 1909-10, during the early 21st century it has been converted into a Hindu temple. The facility was rebuilt in 2020 to 2022, to make it look more like a traditional Hindu temple in India. It is also called Shree Laxmi Narayan Mandir.

Shree Hindu Community Centre - History and details
The site was originally built as a Methodist Church at the corner of Medina Road and Warwick Road in Tyseley between 1909 to 1910 by Henry Harper.

A foundation stone was laid by W. Adams JP of Moseley.

But by at least the early 21st century it had been taken over as a Hindu community centre.

Work to build a new Hindu temple entrance façade began in 2020.

By the summer of 2021, the façade was almost complete, but was a lot left to do here.

Work to complete the façade was completed during 2022.
