Community Education and Development Foundation (CEDF)

CEDF was established in 2002 to provide communities in the West Midlands greater access to education services.

CEDF is a registered charity (Registration no: 1094421).

This description of CEDF work in the community is taken from their website.

CEDF’s activities include providing language classes to children and young people and raising awareness of the Panjabi culture and heritage.  Since inception, over 2,000 pupils have benefited from attending Panjabi language classes at its learning centre in Hockley.

It achieves its objectives by providing classes, human resources, access to facilities and open spaces, making grants to organisations and acting as an umbrella or resource body for other charities.

In addition, the charity provides a range of other education related activities.  These include family learning and homework clubs and access to a range of health and well-being related classes.

CEDF works in partnership with local schools, universities and community organisations to make its projects accessible in other venues.

CEDF is located at:

46 Hockley Hill, Birmingham B18 5AQ.  Tel no: 0121 515 2873.
