Butlers Lane Station is on the Cross City Line north of Sutton Coldfield, on the line towards Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley. First opened in 1957. Rebuilt 1991-92.

In brief
Butlers Lane in in the northern part of Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield. British Railways opened a temporary wooden station here in 1957 to coincide with the (then) new diesel multiple units on the line from Birmingham to Lichfield. It was originally known as Butlers Lane Halt. It became one of the stations on the (then) new Cross City Line from 1978. A more permeant structure was built from 1991 to 1992 to coincide with the electrification of the line by British Rail. There is four trains an hour in both directions from Monday to Saturday, while trains on Sunday's after every half an hour.
