Old Union Mill was a former flour mill, built in 1810. Located on Grosvenor Street West, Ladywood (Westside BID), Grade II listed. Closed for many years, but opened as a car park from 2024.

Where is Old Union Mill?

Old Union Mill is at 17-23 Grosvenor Street West, Ladywood, Birmingham, B16 8HW. To the rear is Sherborne Wharf on the Oozells Street Loop of the Birmingham Canal Navigations Old Mainline.

In brief

This was the New Union Flour Mill built in 1810 of brick, with a slate roof, two storeys high with 11 bays. Before it became abandoned and derelict it was at one point occupied by Clayton Brass Founders and other firms during the 20th century, but has been closed for years. A Grade II listed building since 1982. In 2024, the gates have been opened and the rear area now used as a NCP car park (payable on their app only).
