The Parish Church of Acocks Green was first built from 1864 to 1882 by J G Bland.

It was built in the 13th century style.

An extension was built from 1891 to 1894 by J A Chatwin.

It was made of local sandstone, apart from the red brick walls.

It has been a Grade II listed building since the 23rd July 2009.

The church can be seen from the Warwick Road, not far from Acocks Green Village on the no 4 and 4A bus routes (formerly the no 37 bus route until 2018).

They had an unbroken chain of Vicars from 1867 until 2002, when there was an Interregnum. Then there was a vicar from 2003 until 2022.

As St Mary the Virgin, Acocks Green is now as of 2023. If you get on the no 4 or 4A bus in Acocks Green Village, you will pass it on the Warwick Road.
