Olton Jubilee Park, Solihull - A wonderful open space!

Olton Jubilee Park was opened in the 1930s to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V.


Olton Jubilee Park is located in Olton, Solihull.

The park is surrounded by Lyndon Road, Ulleries Road and Brackleys Way.

The Hatchford Brook flows through the park.

The park also has a BMX track, a playground, a football pitch and a wet woodland.

History of Olton Jubilee Park

The park opened as the Olton Jubilee Recreation Ground in May 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V by the then Solihull Urban District Council. Gates were added in May 1937 to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother). Still known at the time as Olton Recreation Ground.
