Digbeth - plans, developments and use of the waterways (A Centre for Pride of Place Collaboration)

With the Grand Union Canal and River Rea running through Digbeth, there are so many opportunities being explored and developments planned.

This project is a way of engaging and involving community in all the potential offered by this existing infrastructure.  It connects to the maps of the city and the huge following of both community and investors in these digital representations of Birmingham and its many opportunities.

Here is a map of the waterways running through Digbeth.  Note:  We have included on this version of our map other layers such as tram stops, HS2 developments and rail lines.

Then let's bring in our map of layers such as existing builds, history, art and new developments swithed on to see how exciting a time it is for Digbeth and their community.

Together with those companies involved in many of the exciting projects underway, completed or due to commence, we will look at the many opportunities facing this area of the city.

This regularly updated feature will engage and involve the community in a truly exciting project that will capitalise on Digbeth's massive potential given the waterways of the Grand Uniojn Canal and the River Rea.
